As an ambassador  I help spread the U Matter, We Care initiative which acts as an umbrella for care and resources for individuals who are in distress.  Ambassadors help spread UF's culture of care by educating our community about the signs and symptoms of distress and helping direct them to needed resources. We are dedicated to spreading awareness to our fellow Gators and letting them know that with over 50,000 students at this university, there isn't a single one to spare.  

 

Some of my job responsibilities include: 

 

• Raising awareness about the U Matter, We Care initiative and UF’s caring culture to students across campus.

• Providing presentations to classes, student groups, and other student-centered organizations about the U Matter, We Care initiative.

• Planning and implementing campus-wide events aimed specifically at raising awareness about the U Matter, We Care initiative.

• Acting as a resource to students and faculty member who are in need of aid due to distress.
