The Fagerberg - Varnes Scholarship is a scholarship created by Drs. Seigfred Fagerberg and Jill Varnes in support for the College of Health and Human Performance.
This scholarship is awarded to a student in the Health Education & Behavior major in the college and who is in good academic standing in the college with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is a first - generation student.
The RA of Distinction Award for Community Building is awarded to a Resident Assistant (RA) who has done an exceedingly exceptional job in building a warm, friendly, and caring community for their resident. This RA has been able to connect with their floor and create an atmosphere of unity through programs, events, and interactions.
The Dean's List is awarded to a student who has demonstrated outstanding performance in their coursework and academics. To be considered for the Dean's List within the college of Health and Human Performance, a student must maintain a semesterly GPA of 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits taken. I have obtained this award 3 times.
College Assistant Program
Grant
The College Assistance Program, Inc. (CAP, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization which operates with full cooperation of The Miami Foundation and the Miami-Dade County School Board. CAP, Inc. assists Miami-Dade County Public School students who have exhausted all avenues of financial assistance (federal, state and institutional), but who still have significant unmet needs to attend the college of their choice. I have been awarded this grant 4 times.
Learning Without Borders
Study Abroad Scholarship
The Learning Without Border Study Abroad Scholarship is part of a broader initiative to increase study abroad opportunities for undergraduate students. Students who display outstanding academic performance and are contributing to their Gator Nation by participating in extracurricular activities are awarded this scholarship.
